12 child labourers rescued from Roorkee

Roorkee (Uttarakhand), Apr 29 (PTI) Twelve child labourers were today rescued from Bhagwanpur industrial area near here, an official said. The children were rescued during raids by a labour department team in two factories in the area, labour commissioner Vipin Agrawal said. Six child labourers were found at a detergent factory while as many were rescued from a pharmaceutical unit, he said. Notices have been issued to both the factories, Agrawal added.
