CM apprises envoys of invest opportunities in Uttarakhand

Dehra Dun, May 14 (PTI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today urged the envoys of various countries to impress upon their businessmen to undertake investment in the hill state owing to its investor-friendly policies. He said this after inaugurating an ambassadors' meet here, jointly organised by the state government and Industries Association of Uttarakhand (IAU. "Uttarakhand has a very good atmosphere for the investors that are prepared to contribute towards the development of the state", Nishank said while inviting investments. He said the envoys of different participating nations can play an important role in making the businessmen of their countries aware of possibilities in Uttarakhand and motivate them to make investment in the hill state. In this regard, Nishank also assured all possible support to the investors on the part of the state government. "I hope, by working together we can take this hilly state ahead towards rapid development," he added. Nishank said Uttarakhand is a region that not only has water, forests, minerals in abundance but was also rich in terms of high quality human resource. Envoys of nearly a dozen nations like Bangladesh, Gabon, Georgia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mali, Nepal, Nigeria, Senegal, Singapore and Trinidad and Tobago are participating in the ambassadors' meet organised with an aim to attract investment in Uttarakhand. Earlier, Nishank facilitated the envoys by presenting them a souvenir and a shawl.
