Sports facilities to be developed in Uttarakhand: CM

Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Vijay Bahuguna today said that an international sports stadium is coming up at Suddhowala area here, which would help the state cricket board get recognition from the BCCI. Inaugurating a cricket tournament, Bahuguna announced a financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the event and said the state government may also consider the possibility of bearing the expenditure of the competition from next year. He said the government is committed to the development of sports infrastructure and facilities in the State as there is no dearth of talent in Uttarakhand. bs
