Dehra Dun, Aug 16 (PTI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay
Bahuguna today assured Asian Development Bank (ADB) of
extending all possible cooperation in its various projects of
infrastructure development being undertaken in the hill state.
During a meeting at his residence here, Bahuguna was
apprised by Executive Director of ADB, Ashok Lahiri of various
works being undertaken by it in the state, an official release
said here.
Lahiri said that ADB is working on various development
projects in drinking water, sewerage, tourism, transport,
power and other sectors in the state.
He said construction work worth USD 1,264 million has to
be completed and out of which, projects worth USD 507.95
million were currently underway.
The ADB official also requested Bahuguna for technical
assistance and availability of skilled human resources for
these projects.
The chief minister said that all necessary assistance
would be provided to ADB and directed the officials concerned
to make the arrangements for the same.
