Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand, May 31, 2013 /India PRwire/ -- IBM (NYSE: IBM) and DIT University, Uttarakhand in a landmark initiative have signed a definitive agreement to launch an Undergraduate (B. Tech.) program with specialization using IBM Software. The programs launched for the Academic Year 2013 are B. Tech. (CSE) with Specialization in Mobile Applications and B. Tech. (CSE) with Specialization in Cloud based Applications. The curriculum of both the programs is jointly developed and will be delivered by designated subject matter experts from IBM and DIT University. The courses offered by IBM Career Education Program will be integrated along with the existing B. Tech. curriculum over the 4 years.
The aim of the program is to develop sufficient industry needed skills on critical emerging tools and technologies such as Cloud and Mobile based applications. The program with a specialization in Cloud based Applications will cover all the relevant topics that will enable students to develop and deploy Cloud based applications using IBM Rational® tools. While the program with a specialization in Mobile Applications will enable students to create applications intended to execute on mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets that are multi-platform (Andriod®, iOS®, RIM®, Windows® etc.) and involve unique requirements and challenges, using IBM Worklight®.
