Dehra Dun, Oct 2 (PTI) The Uttarakhand government nominated seven MLAs as parliamentary secretaries, an official release here said today.
In a late last night decision, the government nominated MLAs Asha Nautiyal, GL Shah, Arvind Pande, Premchand Agrawal, Gopal Rawat, Chandanram Das and Diwan Singh Bist as parliamentary secretaries, the release.
All these BJP MLAs would enjoy minister of state level rank along with facilities associated with the post, which also include vehicles fit with red beacons.
Ever since Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank took over the reins of the state from former Chief Minister BC Khanduri on June 27 this year, ruling party MLAs, who did not find cabinet berth, were anxiously awaiting to be accorded with the ministerial level posts.
More MLAs and other politicians would also be granted the ministerial level posts in near future, the sources said.
