Dehra Dun, Oct 29 (PTI) The scarcity of LPG cylinders in Uttarakhand would end before Diwali, a state minister said here today. The scarcity of LPG cylinders would end by November two and people would face no problem of cooking gas on Diwali, state Food and Civil Supplies Minister Diwakar Bhatt told reporters here. The minister claimed that the Centre was supplying less LPG cylinders than the national average to Uttarakhand which is leading to the scarcity of gas cylinders, he said. Several steps have been taken to stop black marketing of LPG cylinders like conducting raids in gas agencies and in trucks carrying LPG cylinders as well as holding regular meetings with district supply officers and officials of other concerned departments, Bhatt said.
