Dehra Dun, Mar 28 (PTI) Uttarakhand government today said an ayurvedic research centre would be set-up at Charekh Danda village of Pauri district. Replying to a question in the state Assembly, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prakash Pant said the land for the Charak Ayush research centre has already been identified. Charekh Danda village is considered to be the work place of Maharshi Charak, the father of Ayurveda. The government has also decided to develop an international Charak Ayush research institute near Kotdwar, the minister said, adding that district magistrate of Pauri district has been asked to arrange for 50 acres of land for the purpose.
