This insurance policy has come into effect from May 24, 2011," she said, according to a release from Raj Bhavan.

Announcing several initiatives, the governor said these have been launched in view of the ever increasing participation of golfers in the Governor's Cup golf meet.

"The tournament this year has received an enhanced number of total registration which touched almost 200 confirmed entries," she said.

She said golf training camps for children were being organised in order to enhance the popularity of the game among the future generation.
