Roorkee (Uttarakhand), Jun 22 (PTI) With assembly elections in Uttarakhand just six months away, Congress today accused the state's BJP government in Uttarakhand of indulging in corruption and misusing the central funds given for various projects. Addressing a rally here, PCC chief Yashpal Arya accused the state government of providing good medical facilities to yoga guru Ramdev but not taking care of Swami Nigmanand who was also fighting against corruption. Union Minister Harak Singh Rawat alleged the Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank government was responsible for the death of Swami NIgamanand and so it should be immediately dismissed. Union Minister of state for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries Harish Rawat said people of Uttarakhand voted for Congress on all the five Lok Sabha seats in the previous general elections and hoped the people will again vote for the party in the next assembly elections due early next year. Lok Sabha MP Satpal Maharaj charged BJP governemnt is making false statements that the Centre is discriminating against Uttarakhand. He alleged that central funds given to it for Mahakumbh mela, SAF winter games and management of natural disasters were misused. He also alleged the BJP government induldged in corruption and several scams like hydel projects allotment and Sturdia housing project have already been unearthed.
