Nishank govt ignores interests of minorities: Congress

Dehradun, Jul 25 (PTI) Criticising the Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank-led BJP government for failing on all fronts, Congress today alleged that the interests of minorities are being ignored in Uttarakhand. "The Centre had given Rs 115 crore to Uttarakhand for welfare of minorities, but the government managed to spend only Rs 21 crore so far," Uttarakhand PCC president Yashpal Arya said at a party function. The Nishank government is ignoring the interests of minorities in the state and it has even failed to utilise funds meant for their welfare, he alleged. Arya also accused the BJP government of failing on all fronts, saying it has broken all previous records of corruption. Party workers should work to bring the Congress back to power in the state, he said.
