Ahmedabad: To gather clues about missing Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) professor Prathap Oburai, police officials from Uttarakhand paid a visit to the city.
According to sources, the Uttarakhand cops were in the city on Monday to gather inputs regarding Prathap Oburai, who teaches marketing at IIM-A. The visit was kept a secret with not even top officials from the city knowing about it.
According to the police commissioner Sudhir Sinha, he was not in the know about their visit. "I am not aware of their visit, they might have informed the Crime Branch team," said Sinha.
Oburai, a father of two, has also served as director of the National Insurance Academy, Pune. It has been almost two weeks since the professor went missing under mysterious circumstances from Devprayag in Uttarakhand, but Tehri police who are investigating the case remain clueless till date.
However, the cops did issue a sketch of the 42-year-old professor to the police from neighbouring districts there. The Uttarakhand police visited Ahmedabad on Monday, to investigate the reasons behind Oburai's disappearance.
