Four persons feared dead in bus mishap

Dehradun, May 29 (PTI) Four persons were feared drowned and six injured when a mini bus carrying 21 pilgrims fell into Alaknanda river in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand today, officials said. The bus was going to Gopeshwar area from Badrinath shrine when the mishap occurred at Vishnuprayag area of the district, they said. Immediate after the mishap, police launched a rescue operation and saved some passengers from drowning. The injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals. Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has expressed grief over the accident and asked the district administration to provide best medical care facilities to the injured.
