One person was killed and another injured today when their jeep fell
into a gorge near Kathru village in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district.
The mishap occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle,
police said, adding that the victims were going to Bacher village.
The injured passenger was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
