Some more MLAs in Uttarakhand will soon be given ministerial rank posts as the state government has decided to appoint them as heads of various state-run corporations and boards.
An announcement in this regard was made by Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna here today.
The legislators who will be given ministerial rank posts include Narayan Ram Arya, Rajendra Bhandari, Manoj Tiwari and Hemesh Kharkwal from Congress, besides Haridas from BSP.
The decision comes amid speculations that the coalition government could compensate some MLAs, who could not be made state ministers, by giving them ministerial rank posts.
Independent MLA Dinesh Dhanai, who is supporting the government, and Congress legislator Ganesh Godiyal have already been made heads of some state-run corporations.
