Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna has denied the allegations that Sukhdev Singh Namdhari, a key accused in Chadha brothers’ killing, has relations with the state bureaucrats.
Bahuguna also refused to accept the request of CBI enquiry into the matter made by the Cabinet Minister Pritam Singh.
Several questions have been raised over sacked Uttarakhand Minorities Commission chief Sukhdev Singh Namdhari’s connection with the bureaucrats of the state. Amidst all this, Uttarakhand Cabinet Minister Pritam Singh wrote a letter to the Chief Minister demanding a CBI enquiry in order to reveal the facts of the matter.
Talking to media persons, Bahuguna termed the demand as nonessential saying the matter is not related to the state and is being investigated by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police.
He said the allegations that Namdhari had relations with the bureaucrats of Uttarakhand were completely baseless and hence the government cannot recommend CBI inquiry into the matter.
