Rajendra Singh reportedly died of dengue at Haldwani. It is the first dengue related in Uttarakhand this season.
Singh (35), from Bageshwar, was referred to a hospital in Haldwani where he died due to dengue. While sources from the concerned hospital said it was dengue related death, Director General Health R P Bhatt said the test results to confirm the reason behind the death were awaited.
Since January 272 cases of dengue have been reported across the State. Currently there are around 15 dengue cases across the State, Mr Bhatt said.
“At present dengue is not an issue in Uttarakhand, but we have to prepare for it,” Mr Bhatt said.
