Dehradun, Aug 29 (PTI) A married man allegedly committed suicide after attacking his paramour in Patel Nagar area of the district today, police said. Karmvir Singh (47), an electrician, was allegedly having an affair with Rita Tomar (36), a mother of two, police said. They had some tiff following which Singh reached the house of Rita and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon, they said. After injuring Rita, Singh consumed some poisonous substance. Both of them were rushed to a hospital where Singh was declared brought dead, police said. Rita was still battling for life in state-run Doon Hospital, police said.
