Two workers were killed and another was injured when a blast occurred in an oxygen cylinder refilling factory at Manglore area of Haridwar district, police today said.
The incident occurred in Kumar Ispat Oxygen Limited factory on Manglore-Jhabrera road last night when the workers were refilling the gas cylinders, they said.
As the blast took place, the electricity of the factory also went off which created hindrance in carrying out search and rescue operation.
While two workers died on the spot, another was injured in the incident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be stable, police said.
One of the deceased have been identified as Lokesh (23), a resident of Gadarjudda locality, while the identity of another is yet to be established.
Police has launched investigations in the case.
