Dehradun: To strengthen the panchayati raj system in Uttarakhand, the state government is planning to impart training to panchayat and local unit representatives through professional experts.
  
In a meeting of Backward Region Grant Fund, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain today directed the state officials to chalk out plans for capacity enhancement of the local units, a statement said.
  
Jain laid stress on providing a training to panchayat and local unit representatives through professional experts.
  
In this regard, the government has already provided Rs 1 crore each to Tehri, Chamoli and Chamapawat districts.
  
The Chief Secretary said an effective module should be drafted to strengthen panchayati raj.
