Pauri (Uttarakhand): Five members of a family were killed and one was injured when the roof of their house collapsed after heavy rains in Merha village of Pauri district here, police official said on Thursday.
38-year-old Ranbir Lal, his three minor daughters and a son were killed on the spot when the roof of their house caved in upon them last night after heavy rain, Pauri SP Ajay Joshi said.
Lal's 32-year-old wife Usha Devi who sustained serious injuries in the incident has been admitted to a nearby hospital, he said.
Intermittent rains have been continuing in many parts of the state for the past few days.
