The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Uttarakhand Open University (UOU). According to a press release, AHLEI students after completing the Hospitality Management Diploma will get lateral entry in the third year of BSc Hotel and Hospitality Administration programme offered by UOU. This has been achieved after mapping AHLEI courses with those offered at UOU by experts from the industry and academics.
Robert L Steele, III, CHA, President and Chief Operating Officer, AHLEI, who was present during the signing of the MOU, expressed his gratitude towards UOU authorities for accepting AHLEI as one of their partners.
Dr Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor, UOU said, “UOU adheres to its vision of providing quality education for students and it endeavours to adapt with the rapid changes that are taking place in the sphere of technical and professional education by introducing a number of job-oriented courses.”
UOU was established by an Act of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly on October 31, 2005 (Act no.23 of 2005), having its headquarters in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
