Dehra Dun, Jun 23 (PTI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank today said that a proposal regarding setting up an institute for promoting astrology and Sanskrit is under consideration. The institute being christened as "Prachya Vidya Sansthan" would be set up with the help of Shri Badrinath Kedarnath temple committee, Nishank said inaugurating a two-day All India Astrology Research conference being organized jointly by Uttarakhand Open University and Uttaranchal Sanskrit Academy of Doon University here, an official release said here. Calling for establishing the kowledge about astrology in a scientific way as per the demand of the modern age, Nishank also asked the Vice-Chancellors of Uttarakhand Open University and Sanskrit University to constitute a committee for encouraging astrology-related research. Nishank and Shankaracharya of Badrinath Swami Shri Madhavashram Ji Maharaj were felicitated for their special contribution to literature and Sanskrit.
