Dehra Dun, Aug 24 (PTI) An Uttarakhand government officer has been arrested for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a contractor in Haldwani area of Nainital district.S P Singh, a development officer with the integrated cooperative project, was caught by a vigilance team yesterday when he was allegedly accepting Rs 10,000 from Shahid Hussain, the complainant, said Superintendent of Police (Vigilance), Nainital sector.Singh was allegedly demanding a bribe from Hussain for awarding a contract of a godown construction to his firm. Singh was today produced before the Nainital district court, which sent him to jail.
