Assembly session begins tomorrow, likely to be stormy

Dehra Dun, Sep 26 (PTI) The Uttarakhand Assembly session beginning tomorrow is likely to be stormy with main opposition Congress announcing to gherao the House on the first day demanding CBI probe into the alleged scams during the previous Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank government. Uttarakhand PCC chief and MLA Yashpal Arya said a change of guard ahead of state assembly elections has only confirmed the allegations of corruption against the Nishank government and added that the current Chief Minister should recommend a CBI inquiry in this regard. He said if Khanduri's efforts for corruption elimination are genuine then he should not hesitate ordering the inquiry. Leader of the Opposition Harak Singh Rawat said Congress is ready to corner the government on several issues - from corruption to development - during the three-day session. PTI
