BJP leader''s murder: Culprit will be brought to book, says CM

Dehradun, Sep 26 (PTI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri today termed the killing of woman BJP leader, who was set on fire in Rishikesh, as shocking and said the culprit would be brought to book soon. "The incident is shocking and unfortunate," Khanduri told reporters here. Geeta Shankar (42), zonal president of Shyampur area of Uttarakhand BJP's women wing, was set on fire by a person at her house in TDHC colony in Rishikesh on September 23. Khanduri said he had visited Shankar's house at Rishikesh yesterday and met her husband Manishankar. He said police had been asked to investigate the case and bring the culprit to book for "committing such a heinous crime". PTI
