Dehradun, Sep 25 (PTI) Three MNREGA workers, who had climbed a tower on Thursday near Vidhan Sabha here seeking regular jobs, have finally came down following an assurance by a state minister.

Uttarakhand Rural Development Minister Vijaya Barthwal assured the protesting workers that their demands would be sympathetically considered, police said.

Demanding regular jobs, Sandip, Brijmohan and Navin had climbed the BSNL tower here and threatened to commit suicide by jumping off it.

Despite several efforts by senior government officials, they had refused to come down. Later, Barthwal persuaded them following which they finally came down last night, they said.

All the three have been admitted to government Doon Hospital for a routine check-up, police added.
