Uttarakhand cabinet clears creation of 4 new district

Dehra Dun, Nov 12 [PTI] The Uttarakhand cabinet today approved formation of four new districts without making any provision for their new infrastructure. A decision to create the districts was taken by a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by chief minister B C Khanduri, chief secretary Subhash Kumar told reporters here. Former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, during his Independence Day speech, had announced the formation of four new districts Ranikhet, Didihaat, Kotdwar and Yamunotri. Kumar said though the demarcation of the new districts has been done under the cabinet decision there would be no provision for new offices and infrastructure.
