Dehra Dun, Sep 28 (PTI) Security would be beefed up along the international border with Nepal in view of increased Maoist activities there, a senior Uttarakhand police official said today.
Several parts of the state are situated along the border and are highly sensitive due to increased Maoist activities in Nepal, Inspector General of Police Ram Singh Meena said.
He said the security personnel guarding the border will provided with advanced surveillance equipments to keep a tight vigil in the frontier areas, he said.
