Administrative reshuffle in Uttarakhand

Dehra Dun, Sep 16 (PTI) In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttarakhand government tonight shuffled the departments of 17 IAS officers, most of them principal secretaries. Principal secretary to the chief minister D K Kotia has been given the additional responsibility of the newly set up department of good governance, corruption elimination and public service. An official release said principal secretary home Rajiv Gupta has been given additional responsibilities of forest and environment department. Principal secretary finance Alok Jain has been given additional charge of power and tourism. Irrigation department has been taken away from principal secretary P C Sharma and has now been given to Uma Kant Panwar, who has been relived from his department of power. Similarly, civil aviation department which was being headed by P C Sharma, has been handed over to principal secretary Rakesh Sharma, who would also hold additional charge of industries development.
