Uttarakhand waives VAT on petrol

Uttarakhand has announced a complete waiver of the state’s share of 25 % of VAT on petrol, which comes to R0.78 per litre. Chief minister BC Khanduri said it will help reduce the consumers’ burden in the state. It will enatil a cost of R21.78 crore on the state exchequer
