Kunjwal convenes all-party meet ahead of winter session

To ensure peaceful conduct of Winter Session starting on Wednesday, Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal convened an all- party meeting in Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. The Speaker sought everyone’s cooperation to run session in peaceful manner. He convened the meeting after presiding over business advisory committee meeting at Vidhan Sabha. Following the demand of BSP, which is organising its meeting at Lucknow on December 6 at luck now, the House will not be called on Thursday.

As is known, the House is being called to discuss public grievances and public representatives are bound to raise public issues in the session. For this constitution has made a provision of question hour and zero hour. During Question hour MLA can ask subsidiary question by giving advance question to the house and MLA can raise public issue by giving a notice before the beginning of the session on any day.

For this everyone cooperation is required otherwise each member would raise their issue and house would get noisy.  During meeting leader of opposition Ajay Bhatt has assured that important issues should be discussed in the house and by doing this house can escape direct fight between treasury bench and opposition Bench.  Parliamentary Affairs Minister Indira Hridayesh assured that treasury bench would answer all the questions whichever will be raised
under rule of Vidhan Sabha procedure.
